After watching the trailer, many are not convinced that Alden Ehrenreich can pull off a good Han Solo. I think Ehrenreich has had a fruitful career and may actually pull off Han Solo successfully, but like everyone else, I’m keeping my expectations low. However, with the help of the internet, I’ve come up with a list of actors that could potentially pull off a good Han Solo. It may be a little too late, but what do you think? Who else do you think could pull off Han as well or better than Ford?
1. Dylan O’Brien

You’ve seen him in the Maze Runner films as well as Teen Wolf. Why I think he could pull off a great Han? He can pull off ‘sarcastic’ but can also do ‘hero’ really well, which is what Han Solo is like.
2. Colton Haynes

This other Teen Wolf alum has also appeared on Arrow as Roy Harper/Arsenal and got his big-screen action with The Rock in San Andreas. His characters have also been ‘fun’ and he certainly has that ‘smouldering’ good looks that Han has.
3. Scott Eastwood

If he has the same swag his dad does, then he’s perfect. He has charmed audiences in Nicholas Sparks’ The Longest Ride. He also has the right mixture of good looks and irascible charm that Han Solo has. However, Eastwood is a little older than what we expect ‘young’ Han Solo to be in Solo.
4. Liam Hemsworth
[GIF]
This younger Hemsworth brother has been busy protecting Katniss Everdeen and even acted alongside Harrison Ford in a movie called Paranoia. He was also in a sci-fi movie that I’m not going to mention because it really upsets me (how bad it was). He’s young, handsome and if he can pull of sarcastic like his brother, he’ll be perfect for the role.
5. Anthony Ingruber

Many have no idea who he is (neither did I), but in The Age of Adaline, he pulled off a really eerily accurate portrayal of a young Harrison Ford, and his impersonation of uncanny. Can he be a better Han Solo? Maybe. But he did post up a video of him acting like Han Solo, and instantly convinced!

Plus, there was also campaigns to get him to be young Han Solo. I mean look at this:
6. Ansel Elgort

This rising star started out with a movie called The Fault In Our Stars, and went off to star in the Divergent series. His name has been on most “Hot Up-And-Comers” List for the past 2 years and is primed for a breakout. And c’mon, Baby Driver was brilliant. But can he carry a young Han? He hasn’t really charmed my pants off yet, but he could’ve as Han Solo.
7. Sam Claflin
[GIF]
I’m just going to put it out there; his smile is perfect to pull off a charming Han Solo, which is why he’s on my list. Plus, his character in The Hunger Games has convinced me enough.
8. Dave Franco
[GIF]
Even though he isn’t as famous as his brother, I consider Dave the more serious brother – mainly because he hasn’t been in any ‘weird’ scandals. But he has pulled off some really charming roles such as Jack Wilder in Now You See Me and his other roles have impressed me, especially in The Disaster Artist. Even though most of his movies have not been ‘serious’, I think Franco can get serious and pull off a sarcastic-charming-hero any day.
9. Taron Egerton
[GIF]
This Welsh actor is known for this amazing breakthrough performance in Kingsman: The Secret Service. And admit it, that character was like a British Han Solo, less sci-fi, more Bond. He also shows a lot of promise for a flourishing career and has certainly proved that he can handle action on screen. Plus, he seems to have a little scoundrel in him too.
10. Miles Teller
[GIF]
Not my first choice, but the internet has convinced me. Teller has risen to fame rather quickly over the past few years and his role in the Oscar-nominated Whiplash has certainly convinced me that he’s a good actor with a lot of potential for big things. So why not? (Tbf, I think he’ll pull of a great young Chandler Bing).
Do you have a different candidate to play the young Han Solo? Let us know!
