The first movie project by Blumhouse and filming under the budget of only $15,000, in the form of found-footage style recording around house of a couple when they decided to set up cameras after some supernatural occurrence has been haunting them. The movie has got recognition due to its positive reviews and spawned to multiple sequels, prequels and a spin-off.
2) Insidious
The team-up of the iconic horror duo between James Wan and Jason Blum has brought Insidious to a whole new level of spookiness with goosebumps at every corner while venturing to the frightening dimension of the Further. The sequel is surprising treat to its predecessor, as Chapter 2 solved the plot holes from the first film and every explanation to the mysteries of the supernatural forces was brilliantly told.
3) Sinister
The Sinister word is sinisterly the theme and title of this film as it shows the footage of the sinister side of the cursed children murdering their families in the most sinister way possible. A fresh, terrifying idea off the Blumhouse Productions, the disturbing theme song in the murder footage and the lawnmower scene has really creep me out till today.
4) The Purge
A night where all crimes are legal including murder and killings is the worst nightmare that a country has ever faced. Now that Trump is the President, let’s hope that this will not come true or we will have men in creepy masks with machetes roaming around the streets. A fourth movie is underway, titled as The Purge: The Island set to release in 2018.
5) Mockingbird
In what looks like a rip-off of Saw, 2 lucky people and a family found a camera delivered to their home doorstep only to realized that they are in a game of cat and mouse, forced to filming their given challenges or die.
6) Mercy
What seems like farewell visit to their dying mother, four brothers need up their survival strategy when they are being haunted by masked men surrounding their home.
7) The Visit
Grandpapa, why is grandma puking and crawling around the house like that in the middle of the night? Yikesss.. Two siblings have a stay over with their grandparents only to realized that something strange is happening at the suburban farmhouse.
8) Unfriended
A group of friends are having the casual conversation of video chatting when a mysterious user came online in their group without invitation. The whole film takes place in the screen of the computer and chatting window, with suspense and tensed moments all the way. The anonymous user may seem to be related with their dead friend, Laura Barnes who was victim of bullying and committed suicide a year ago.

High school friends who have nothing to do in their precious time decided to vandalize a stage set before the day of the stage performance only to be haunted by a malevolent entity, locking them in the school with no way out whatsoever and leading them to mysteriously disappeared one by one.
10) Ouija: Origin of Evil
Serves as a prequel to the 2014 film Ouija, the story involves around a family on a scam business of helping others by staged paranormal séance but for the intention of helping people move on. Eventually, one of the daughters accidently summoned a spiritual entity through an Ouija board and strange occurrences starting to manifests.
