1. Shadow of the Colossus
Quite similar to the original version of the game according to previews with its breathtaking visuals and great gameplay, the developers remade all the game’s assets from the ground up but it still retains the same gameplay from the original title along with the introduction of a new control scheme.

2. Far Cry 5
You’re the new Sheriff’s Deputy in town. 3. Monster Hunter: World
It features a much larger map, seamless transitions between zones as well as a four-player online co-op and will allow players, for the first time in the series, to globally play together.

4. God of War
The eighth installment of the series and the sequel to 2010’s God of War III, this game will take the series to the world of Norse mythology – straying away from the previous games’ Greek mythology. Kratos, the protagonist will be returning as the main character – but he’s not alone. His son, Atreus, will be accompanying him and will be his mentee, while Kratos masters the rage that has driven him for so many years.

5. The Crew 2
Taking place in a scaled-down caricature of the United States, the game promises to deliver open-world, point-to-point racing beyond just cars. Players will be able to pilot biplanes, speedboats, monster trucks, sport bikes, dirt bikes, and a varied slew of four-wheeled racing machines in addition to Porsche and Chevrolet’s latest and greatest.

6. Crackdown 3
Enter Crackdown 3’s sandbox of mayhem and destruction and become a Super-Powered Agent dedicated to Justice by any means necessary. Explore the heights of a dangerous futuristic city, cut through gang-infested streets in a transforming vehicle, and wield amazing abilities to dismantle a ruthless criminal empire. Largely retaining the sandbox elements from the past games, Crackdown 3 will feature destructible environments which can be triggered by players.

7. Red Dead Redemption 2
It’s set in an open world environment and the player controls Arthur Morgan, an outlaw, a member of the Van der Linde gang and a troubled cowboy who has angered groups across the Wild West intent on pursuing him. It seems this will be the driving force of the plot with Arthur befriending unlikely allies on his quest to escape .The game has both single-player and online multiplayer components.

8. Spiderman
The game will tell a new story about Spider-Man and is not tied to a film, comic book or video game. It will cover both the Peter Parker and Spider-Man aspects of the character and will feature an older and more experienced Spider-Man. It’s set in modern-day New York City and environmental combat, quick time events as well as stealth are also featured in the game.

9. Anthem
In this shared-world action-RPG, you and your friends are Freelancers—the bold few with the courage to leave civilization behind, explore a landscape of primeval beauty, and confront the dangers you find. 10. Detroit: Become Human
This neo-noir thriller video game revolves around three androids: Kara, who escapes the factory she was made in to explore her newfound sentience; Connor, whose job it is to hunt down deviant androids like Kara; and Markus, who devotes himself to releasing the androids from servitude.

11. Kingdom Hearts 3
Set after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, returning protagonist Sora is joined by Donald Duck, Goofy, King Mickey and Riku in their search for the seven Guardians of Light and the “Key to Return Hearts” as they attempt to thwart Master Xehanort’s plan to bring about a second Keyblade War. Their journey has them cross paths with characters, and visit worlds based on different Disney properties, Pixar and Marvel included, and Square Enix’s Final Fantasy franchise.

12. The Last Night
The Last Night is a 2.5D cinematic platform game, where the player controls Charlie, a person living a lower-class existence among the rest of society that is living in an “era of leisure” and where computers and machinery have otherwise taken over all menial work. The player can have Charlie explore his city, talk freely with other citizens, get involved in gunfights, and includes elements of stealth.

13. Death Stranding
Death Stranding is an action game set in an open world environment, which also includes multiplayer functions. When the main character Sam dies, the player is sent to another world, referred to as an upside-down world submerged in water. Kojima suggests that when the player returns to the world of the living, anything they did or any damage that an explosion or the likes causes when the player dies remains persistent in the world and does not go away.

14. Metal Gear Survive
Metal Gear Survive is a survival action-adventure game set in an open world environment and played from a third-person perspective. It also features cooperative multiplayer mode, in which the player can be joined by up to three other players to explore the game’s world and to complete missions. It can also be played solo, in which the player will be accompanied by three AI teammates, which the player can give orders to.

15. Beyond Good and Evil 2
It is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective which takes place a few generations prior to the events of Beyond Good & Evil. It has more traditional role-playing elements compared to the first game; the player will generate a character that starts the game “at the very bottom of the social system”. As the player completes various tasks, they will improve in various attributes, and gain spacecraft and crew members which they can also improve over time. The player will visit planets that have their own societies, and by completing tasks on these planets, will gain new technologies or other facets to improve their spacecraft.

16. Sea of Thieves
It is a pirate-themed action-adventure cooperative multiplayer game played from a first-person perspective. The game features cross-platform play between Windows-based personal computers and Xbox One video game consoles. A group of players travel and explore an open world via a pirate ship and assume different roles such as steering, hoisting sails, navigation, firing cannons and other tasks. Players will embark on quests, collect loot and engage in combat with other players.

17. A Way Out
A Way Out is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective. It is specifically designed for split-screen cooperative multiplayer, which means that it must be played with another player through either local or online play. In the game, players control Leo and Vincent, two convicted prisoners who must break out of prison and stay on the run from authorities.

18. Days Gone
Days Gone is an action-adventure survival horror game set in a post-apocalyptic open world environment and played from a third-person perspective. The player takes control of the game’s protagonist Deacon St. John (Samuel Witwer), a drifter and former bounty hunter who prefers to live a dangerous life on the road over living in wilderness encampments. The game takes place two years after a global pandemic occurred which killed almost all of humanity, and transformed millions of others into “Freakers”, mindless zombie-like creatures that are quickly evolving.
