Marching on to the year of 2018, it will be a guarantee that we have a great number of tv series and movies awaits us for the rest of the year, except for Game Of Thrones, which is an unbearable wait till 2019. Nevertheless, be intrigued and get hyped as here are some of the upcoming movies in 2018 to fill in the void!
1) Red Sparrow
Jennifer Lawrence takes a different turn from her shtick as the mockingjay to the red sparrow in an effort to rise up against the Capitol. In the movie, she is an agent from a Russian secret service where she is forced to use her body as weapon.
2) Mary Poppins Returns
Mary Poppins has take up the umbrella once again with Emily Blunt as the iconic role in this musical sequel to Mary Poppins.
3) Black Panther
We are finally getting to a deeper dive into the world of Wakanda with an ensembled cast of great actors and actresses, in the likes of Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Kaluuya, Andy Serkis, Martin Freeman, Forest Whitaker and Chadwick Boseman. Seeing that the MCU movies have histories of other heroes appearing, expect Captain America and Bucky Barnes to make an appearance in the film.
4) Maze Runner: The Death Cure
After all that they had been through, why would anyone think that WICKED is good. In the final installment of the Maze Runner series, the trickster organization led by Littlefinger is up to no good again, wreaking havoc to our group of Gladers.
5) Tomb Raider
Alicia Vikander takes up the sexy, slick attire of Lara Croft, in this reboot of the heroic female, video game icon going through adventurous expeditions of the supernatural and mysteries.
6) Avengers: Infinity War
This one had me hyped the most, watching the enigmatic trailer with the star-studded team of superheroes along with the Guardians of the Galaxy. What a time to live for comic geeks. If only Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine could join the fray that could finally satisfy our Marvel nerd orgasm.
7) Solo: A Star Wars Story
Smuggler. Scoundrel. Hero. A hyperspace galactic adventure with Han Solo once again onboard the Millennium Falcon with Daenerys Targaryen to fill the gap to the sequel to The Last Jedi. The Force will surround us for quite a long time now that a new trilogy was announced by Disney! And please, just give us a Kenobi movie with Ewan McGregor!
8) Ready Player One
The OASIS is a virtual reality world where iconic characters from different worlds are present, but when the founder of OASIS passed on, players are on an epic hunt for the crown jewel in claiming the full ownership of the OASIS so get ready, players.
9) Wreck-It-Ralph 2
Arcade game favourable duo Ralph and Vanellope embarks to a new world of the internet, where the characters of Star Wars and Marvel heroes along with Disney Princesses will be joining the fray of the alternate fantasy world.
10) Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Starlord seems to be having no rest at all. Leading his team of a raccoon, a teenage tree, a mantis, his lover, a half-cyborg and a nipple-sensitive strongman in preventing the world domination by Thanos. While doing that, he has to save what was left of the dinosaurs that was on the loose from the first film as history is about to repeat itself, that leads to the extinction of the dinosaurs ages ago.
11) The Incredibles 2
The big belly hero and his family has finally got the deserving sequel after we have waited for like a lifetime. The story will take place right after the events of the first film and cheers to seeing Jack Jack once again still in the same age!
12) The Nun
James Wan’s creepy eerie nun is getting her very own fantasy, fairy tale of the creepy, demonic figure, Valak.
13) X-Men: Dark Phoenix
The Dark Phoenix in the form of Jean Grey is returning to break the young X-Men once again and Logan will not be there to stop her. Initially, The New Mutants was scheduled to release in 2018 but recently it was pushed back to 2019.
14) Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald
Potterheads, rejoice as we are treated with more wand-waving adventures in the likes Newt Scamander, and both young and fresh Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald.
15) Aquaman
Rest assured as James Wan is directing the standalone film of the Atlantean hero, which will be definitely one of the superhero hits to look out for this year.

Danny Ocean’s sister has a gang of thieves and con women of her own as the star-studded female cast is assigned on a heist mission at the Met Gala event.
17) Ant-Man and The Wasp
Scott Lang returns as the tiny superhero alter-ego along with his new sidekick, Wasp.
18) Fifty Shades Freed

A friend and a nemesis to our friendly, neighbourhood Spider-Man, our symbiote creature has finally made his return to the big screen years after Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3. Tom Hardy portrays the black suit antihero in this R-rated film expected to release on October 5, 2018.
