The diving pair’s splashing performance is no easy feat. It surely came with a lot of behind-the-scenes commitment and hard work. Here are 5 facts you should know about the National divers and the previous championships they have competed in:
1. The pair trained for a month in China before the championships
Two months ago, the Malaysian diving scene faced a rocky period when the National Sports Council (NPC) noticed the lack of performance by the divers and urged them to put in more effort at the World Aquatic Championships. Pandelela Rinong and Leong Mun Yee rose above the circumstances and won a Silver despite the short time of preparation!
2. A giant leap from Bronze to Silver
