Fortnite chapter 1 ended with nothing but darkness, or rather, a giant black hole.
After months of perpetual season changes with new features and customizable options, Fortnite decided to plunge the entire server into a black hole out of the blue without any notice or confirmation about further plans about what happens after that, but worry not! For it is not even close to the end. The other news is that, just like how you rent your own Terraria server, you can now also rent a Fortnite server and play with literally anyone across the globe.
After the two day of silence, where millions of fans were left in the dark. Fortnite finally introduced a massive update of the so-called “chapter 2” of Fortnite. The new chapter brings about one of the most significant changes to the game ever since its launch in 2017.
Fortnite Chapter Two is available for download now! The download file is 5.27GB for mobile, 13GB for consoles, and 14.9GB for PC.
Here are 5 facts you need to know about Fortnite season 2:
1. New Motorboats In Fortnite Are Introduced
After the rise of the mechs with it’s overpowered rocket launchers and stomp. Fortnite introduced motorboats where you can shoot rocket launchers and navigate around with. The motorboats can also be driven along with land with impressive speeds when the boost function is utilized, but do bear in mind that the boat depletes one damage per second.
2. Fewer Guns With The Addition Of New Guns
The weapon list in Fortnite is ever changing. But in Chapter 2, the gun count has decreased but with some new guns being added. Some of the guns confirmed would be a Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle (Common and Uncommon), a new Pistol which comes in two different variants (Legendary and Epic), a Rocket Launcher (Uncommon and Rare), a Pump Shotgun (Common), and a Submachine Gun (Epic and Legendary). One of the notable new guns would be the new Bandaid Bazooka which allows you to heal teammates just by shooting at them from afar.
3. Fishing
Fortnite introduced a Fishing function in the game similar to a game we’re all quite familiar with; Minecraft. Players are able to grab fishing rods near the shore and fish in any of the game’s lakes. Some of the rewards that can be acquired might include, health items, ammo, materials, and weapons if you’re lucky
4. Explosive Objects
Pickaxing just about anything will not be as harmless as it used to be anymore with the introduction of exploding gas tanks and barrels. This adds a great function to the game by enabling players to use this to their advantage by shooting the tanks and barrels, and upon explosion, dealing a significant amount of damage.
5. Upgrading Weapons
Yes! You heard it right. The ability to upgrade weapons using materials is available in Fortnite chapter 2. You can upgrade your weapons at upgrade benches throughout the map. The upgrade benches can be found inside buildings making it difficult to spot from a distance. So make sure you look through every room to find for the bench!
