Who doesn’t like Hari Raya? With Malaysia’s diverse population and culture, all Malaysians rejoice to celebrate this one of the biggest festive season of the year. No matter what race or skin colour are you, only true Malaysians will understand when Hari Raya is approaching soon and if you are haven’t encounter any of the signs before, you might need to consider revoking your Malaysian citizenship (nah, just kidding :P)
1. Planning For Long Holiday
All working adults would be rejoicing for this big occasion and the benefits that come together which is the long holidays. Woohoo. You might be seeing your friends around you planning aggressively for holiday during the Hari Raya season, because why not.
2. Yusuf Taiyoobbbbbbb….Yusuf Taiyoobbbbbbb
I guess every Malaysian should know this brand since young. If you don’t know what Yusuf Taiyoob is, they are actually leading distributor for dried fruits, dates like Piarom Dates and nuts. So if you hear their undying radio advertisement repeating endlessly in your car, you will surely know Hari Raya is approaching.
3. Raya Promos Everywhere
The best thing before Hari Raya is you will see plenty of Raya promos happening in the shopping malls and supermarkets. Since Hari Raya is the big thing in town, you can assure that many people will be spending lots of money preparing for it.
4. Abundance Of Hari Raya Video In Every YouTube Video You Are Watching
Since it’s the biggest festive in the country, every brand would be eyeing for opportunity to brand their name out there while generating more revenue. Especially in this modern world where television consumption is at its lowest, we can assure you there will be lots of Hari Raya Videos making their way to disrupt your YouTube videos.
5. Bazaar Ramadhan
The last sign and my favourite one would be Bazaar Ramadhan. If you are foodie like me, you will be definitely excited about mouth watery food happening in Bazaar Ramadhan all around the country. Laksa, popiah, murtabak and many other food will definitely satisfy your stomach and your appetite for authentic Malaysian food.
