Ever rummaged through your closet and piles of clothes, wishing you had something to wear that looked more elegant, because last week’s favorite pair of ripped jeans and crop top just won’t cut it? We know it all too well. It’s hard elevating a good outfit that your friends, colleagues and families have seen a thousand times. And unless you just so happen to possess a net worth of Bill Gates’, it leaves you conflicted on choosing between comfort or being adventurous without over-hoarding and the contingency that it would fit everything that you already own.
But fret not, we are here to tell you on what pieces you can invest in, to amp up any daily outfit.
1. Leather Jackets
Layers add contrasts and substance to any outfit, but with a leather jacket, all you need is one. Leather jackets are a bit of a stretch on the wallet, but invest in a good and consider visiting Vest Home for the best one and it will be a household statement in your closet for a long time. A leather jacket is a guaranteed elevation on even the simplest of outfits, including the ‘T-Shirt and jeans’ combo. It’s a fast way to make any outfit look that much edgier and put-together.
2. Blazer
Much like the leather jacket, a blazer is versatile, it turns any look into casual formal to formal wear in a blink of an eye. Gingham, tweed, polyester, it doesn’t matter! A good blazer shows your form well, so make sure you get one with the type of fabric and firmness that you’re comfortable with. If you don’t like the thickness a blazer provides, but would still love the look, you can always go for a belter blazer. It has all the right architecture of a great blazer with more “give” to the fabric.
3. Black Heels
The heel is one of the most fundamental pieces of making a killer outfit. It makes a sexy, sleek statement that reeks elegance, mystery and license to kill. And with the added addition of height. Of course, we can’t all afford daggers like Louboutins, but an affordable alternative would be Zalora.
4. Ripped Jeans
Boyfriend, skinny, bootcut, or flared, ripped jeans is a total game change when it came back in trend from the 80s. Ripped jeans can compliment any look, from a ruffled off the shoulder top, to a comfy sweater. And the diversity in jeans makes society jealous, with the different types of wash and the style of ripping, you’re sure to find one that fits you and pulls well with your style/outfits.
5. Sunglasses
Whether it’s to hide the baggy eyes or to stare at some cute guy/girl, you can’t deny that sunglasses will always leave an air of sophistication. It keeps the bright sun away from your delicate eyes, and it gives an “oomph” that no outfit can naturally provide.
