The esteemed Malaysia Golden Global Awards 2019 is back, gathering filmmakers from all across the globe.
Film enthusiast would’ve surely heard about the Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFF) that was held for 6 days last week!
As part of the annual film fest, the prestigious Malaysia Golden Global Awards (MGGA 2019) also took place at the 3rd MIFF, hosting filmmakers and renowned personalities in the industry from both local and across the globe! Source | Source | Source | Source
The MGGA 2019 was held in Istana Budaya on July 20th, featuring production works from South Korea, Hong Kong, China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Belgium and Iran.

1. This year’s MGGA 2019 celebrates the theme of “Humanity”

The 3rd MGGA goes back to the very core of life: humans. Participants had to submit video entries that featured two distinct sides of humanity: “Hope” and “Despair”. Prior to the distinguished event, special screenings that were open to the public was held during the Malaysia International Film Festival.
2. Meet the ambassadors of MGGA 2019!

The 3rd MGGA had the privilege to have Malaysian award-winning actor, director and co-founder of Otto Films, Bront Palarae, as the face of MGGA 2019 alongside with Angelica Lee, who is an International Award Winning actress.
3. Special guest appearance of Hong Kong martial arts star, Sammo Hung

Iconic Hong Kong actor, film producer, and martial artist, Sammo Hung, attended the MGGA 2019 and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
4. The presentation of many prestigious awards
A month ago, the MGGA 2019 announced its list of nominees, to which, sadly, Malaysia was not listed as part of the nomination list as compared to the previous MGGA. However, the awardees of this year’s MGGA is equally eye-catching. Here are this year’s awardees and their astounding trailers:
