Who doesn’t love weekends? It’s our time to forget work’s stress and get recharged from our well-deserved me-time. Well, the good news is! This September is full of long weekends! One of the things we simply love Malaysia for.
Instead of oversleeping, or slugging at home, let’s make the most of the extra day-offs! Check out these 5 things you can do over the coming long weekends! Don’t forget to enjoy it so much that you bring the brightest smile when we get back to work!
1. Catch Up With Friends
Most of us are familiar with the struggle of balancing work and social life. Scrapping time out of the busy schedule to keep up with friends and family can be near impossible at times! With the long weekends coming up, how about seizing the opportunity to catch up with friends over a meal! Call up a friend, invite them over for a meal, or you can head out cafe-hopping around at the best brunch spots in town!
2. Retail Therapy
We have it good when it comes to shopping in Kuala Lumpur. The city is literally packed with shopping malls with infinite boutiques and brands to browse through. If you are a fan of retail therapy, and getting lost in malls where you end up buying a bunch of stuff you never planned for lifts your mood and makes your face shine, the long weekends are coming up for you to do just that!
3. Pampering Session
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy! How about we trade play in for a little pampering session. There is so much we can do to reward our bodies for working so hard. For instance, a rejuvenating massage, spa, a manicure/pedicure session with your girl pals, getting a new hairdo, or even a hair wash. Your body will be thanking you!
4. Road Trip
When in doubt, road trips are always a good idea! Here on the west, getting away from the city’s hustle and bustle is literally a drive away. The next cities like Malacca or Ipoh aren’t too far away and there we get to enjoy great food, a more laid back pace, everything we need to wind down and recharge!
5. Go Outdoors
How about lock the screens away this weekend, and go outside! There is nothing more reinvigorating than feeling the sun, the crisp morning air, the smell of fresh blossoms, and the sound of birds tweeting. If you are up for something more intense, sweat it all out by hiking a mountain, chasing a waterfall, biking or even just a walk around the nearest neighborhood park!
