If you’re a coffee or tea lover, consider drinking or coffee or tea without sugar. If you are a frequent consumer of alcohol, always cut down on spirits, wine and beers. They have the highest calorific value. Stick to constantly hydrating yourself with the old fashioned water and you’ll see improvements in your health!
3. Stick to home-cooked food
It is no lie that home-cooked food had always been way healthier and way cheaper than eating out. Opt for doing your very own grocery shopping weekly and handpick the freshest fruits, vegetables, and chicken you can find! By eating at home, you can personally control how much salt, sugar, or other spices you add to your food. In addition to that, you can control how much food you intake, ensuring that you’re not overeating unlike eating out where the quantity of your food is predetermined.
4. Snack smart
Ditch the potato chips you have lying in your house, and start snacking smart! Ensure that you’re always stocked up with different options of balanced snacks. Some of these balanced snacks include Dates Fruit, organic nuts, dark chocolate and veggie chips. Ensure that you only have healthy snacks lying around to encourage yourself to only eat these healthier alternatives.
5. Be smart when eating out
If all else fails and you’re constantly struggling coping with home cooked food due to your hectic schedule, then if you do eat out, always opt for the healthier options in restaurants. If possible, always head over to restaurants that emphasize on a healthy eating lifestyle. Take the Hawaiian dish. The poke bowl for example. There are countless restaurants out there that mainly focus on selling poke bowls and allow their customers to customize what goes into their bowl. Try your best to avoid fried foods in restaurants. Make these little changes in your eating habits and you’ll start feeling better about your health eventually!
