With the endless bazaars, it is important we keep our streets and surroundings clean while enjoying the Ramadan season.
With the Ramadhan season here, our fellow Malaysians have also been doing the #GreenRamadhan challenge.

Kudos to our fellow Malaysians!
As we enjoy the countless bazaars and delicious food lined up for us during Buka Puasa, let’s not forget also to be environmentally-conscious and to keep our surroundings clean. View this page – Rubbish bin Singapore to find the best bin to collect as much garbage as you can.

Read on to find out ways you can do for a #GreenerRamadhan to get the fullest of the Ramadhan experience!
1. Use Eco-friendly Containers
Bringing your own containers is not only a great way to reduce waste this Ramadhan season, it is cost-friendly too! Try using tumbler bottles to store your sirup bandung or air kelapa. Multi-layered stainless-steel containers works perfectly too when buying food in bigger amounts and great to keep food warm.
2. Bring Your Own Recycle Bag

Recycle bag or reusable shopping bag is definitely 10 times better than using plastic bags. Keep one or two at the boot of your car so that you’ll always be prepared for your Ramadhan shopping! Better yet, you can even DIY your own reusable bag. Check out these useful links:

3. Shop In Moderation
We may get overboard especially when we’re faced with so many yummy foods in the bazaar!

However, always remember to only get what you need to avoid food wastage and of course to maintain a healthy body. Moderation is key!
4. Bring Your Own Cutleries
Invest in some reusable cutleries that are not only environmentally-friendly and hygienic, but also portable too! Metal straws can easily be purchased on Lazada or check out The Hive for more varieties of reusable cutleries.
5. Replace tissues with Napkins
Try using napkins instead of tissue papers the next time you buka puasa.
6. Recycle

If you forget your containers or your recycle bags when you’re out for your bazaar shopping, don’t worry, just try to recycle when you can!
And lastly…
7. Do Not Litter
A little action goes a long way! Make sure that you litter only at designated place.
Aside from this, Malaysia’s 2nd Zero Waste Fest is happening this 22nd – 23rd of June 2019. Click here for more info.
