Do you still remember how we used to sit on the couch, spending our time watching cartoons on Astro when we were little? It was one of the most relaxing memories we had. Laughter were genuine and our innocent minds sometimes were convinced that cartoons are real.
Here’s 8 of the best cartoons which made our childhood a memorable one:
1. Tom & Jerry
Source: Dr. Grob’s Animation Review
Since we were little, we were taught to learn that cat and mouse do not get along together. Tom and Jerry shares a complicated love-hate relationship with one another. While Tom is always on the go to catch Jerry but failed nonetheless, over time we realize that the game of cat and mouse is somewhat a twisted way of a genuine friendship between Tom and Jerry.
2. Scooby Doo
“Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you? We’ve got some work to do now~ Scooby Dppby Doo, where are you? We need some help from you now~”
This song will first came into my mind if I thought of Scooby Doo. So, this cartoon is about a group of teenage friends and Scooby Doo who travel in their infamous green van, solving hilarious mysteries one after another.
3. Bugs Bunny
“Eh… What’s up, doc?”. Sounds familiar huh? Catching phrase from Bugs. Bugs is famous for its carefree attitude. I always like how he bites and eat the carrot. Makes me want to munch on some raw carrots too!
4. The Simpsons
Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. Yes! Do you still remember all their names? They are the Simpsons! I still remember they only have 4 fingers. It’s an American animated sitcom whereby the Simpsons resides in the town of Springfield which humorously shows the American culture and their society.

Whenever I eat spinach, I will think of Popeye. At times when great strength were needed, he will just simply eats (squeeze) a tin of spinach which miraculously flows into his mouth and his biceps will almost instantly start to grow and bulge!
