As a jack of all trades in the entertainment industry, Brandon Ho really does set the bar for aspiring emcees and radio announcers!
We got up close & personal with the entertainer and put your hands together for him.
Hey Brandon! Tell our readers more about yourself.
Hello! My name is Brandon. I’m 24 years old this year. I work as a TV host, a radio DJ, an emcee and I make stupid videos whenever I’m free.
How did you get into hosting/emceeing?
I started out when I was about 16. Back then, I realised or sort of thought I didn’t have any talents. I can’t dance (believe me, I’ve tried), I couldn’t sing (that well) but what I knew is that I can talk fairly okay. So, I had my first emceeing gig when I was 16, and miraculously somehow, people seemed to enjoy it, and that’s when I thought to myself…“Hey, I could do this!”
You seem to be working all the time! What do you do full time?
I don’t specifically have a full-time job that requires me to clock in 9-5, but I work as a TV host for Disney Channel and on weekends, I’m on FLY FM. In between all of that, I emcee events and attend classes! Oh! Being a son, a church worker and a boyfriend takes up a load of time too. (yes, especially the boyfriend one).
Any upcoming projects for you?
I’ve just started hosting for Disney channel under Disney 365. So, I’d be quite tied up with that. I’m also gonna post more funny videos on my Facebook page. Besides that, I’m looking to do more with my YouTube channel. Abandoned it for too long :C

Where can we find you on social media?
You can find me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter by simply typing out “@itsbrandonho” and my channel is called HOPHUNTV on YouTube.
What is a typical day in your life?
There is no one day in my life where it’s the same butttt typically, I wake up, take some time to pray. Then, spend an hour or more on social media just checking up. I read a lot, a lot of news as well. Then, I’d go out for meetings/classes/events/shoots/girlfriend (depending on what it is!) and I always try to come back to have dinner with my family.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about God and people.
You were on Amazing Race Asia! How was it?
It was really cool and heartbreaking at the same time. If you’ve watched it, you’d know why but it was still cool to be on it! Meeting the other racers were awesome and we are all family now. My expectations for my team were very high and to bow out like that was such a shame. I’m definitely over it now but if given the opportunity, I would definitely do it all over again!
Would you call yourself an adventurous person after TARA?
I’d say so, yes. Before TARA, I never quite liked to travel (shocking, I know). But ever since I came back, I think I’ve caught the travel bug a little bit. I actually look forward and plan for trips now!
Do you have any idols?
Does Jesus Christ count? Cause He’s definitely my number one and only idol (:
Any life mottos?
Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Who is your all time inspiration in life?
A lot of people have inspired me over my life; my parents, my sister, my pastor, my followers, but if it’s an all-time list, it’d be the same as question Number 10. It’s gotta be Him. Without God, I don’t know what I’d be. So, as much as I owe all that I’ve achieved to my fans and followers who have supported me, I owe more if not, everything to Jesus.
What is the ideal weekend for you?
My ideal weekend would consist of no work. Just having the time to do whatever I wanna do. Perhaps catch up with an old friend, watch a movie and hang out with my better half. Sleep is pretty big on the list.
Tell us what makes you smile the most?
I get really happy when I meet people who say they’ve watched my stuff and like it. I love it when they say it made them smile or laugh. It’s a very humbling yet, fulfilling feeling. And I sort of live for that, cause I love entertaining people. That’s just part of my DNA and who I am. I think it’s what I do with this influence that I have is what counts.
Where do you see yourself in 2 years’ time?
This is a good one. I believe we all have a purpose in life. I know my purpose is to speak for Him. It’s a gift He has blessed me with and ultimately, I want to use this gift to glorify His name, not mine. And in 2 years’ time, I hope to see myself living out this purpose. Of course, I sure hope to be still doing what I’m doing right now (i.e. hosting on TV, radio and making videos). I’d be the happiest man if I could integrate and do both!
