Flight attendants’ uniforms have evolved dramatically over the years. While some crews have the privilege to wear fashionable uniforms as working uniform created by household names that will enhance their overall professional image, the carriers often try to send out multiple messages through their uniform. It either embodies the spirit of the company or the nationality of the carrier.
Here are some of the gorgeous uniforms from which rock the skyway.
1. Hainan Airlines
Paris-based designer Laurence Xu provided a stylish and practical example at Paris Couture Fashion Week when he partnered up with Hainan Airlines, China’s fourth-largest carries, to produce a blend of East and West.
Featuring traditional Chinese motifs such as clouds, waves, and the roc- a mythical bird, the design draws inspiration from the cheongsam, which women wear on formal occasions. Also, the apron is designed as a tulip-shaped dress to emphasis elegance, femininity, practicality and looks.
These photos looks like they came right out of a high-fashion magazine. The second-largest airline in the United Arab Emirates joined hands with the Italian haute couturier, Ettore Bilotta, for this gorgeous uniform. Etihad Airways’ uniforms combined the dramatic 1960s couture of Paris and Rome with the contemporary runway looks from London and New York.
3. China Eastern Airlines
4. Singapore Airlines
There are four different uniforms, each represents the designation of the Singapore Girl who wears it.
5. Korean Air
6. Malaysia Airlines
The Malaysia Airline’s Kebaya women wear has been an iconic symbol of the carrier and our nation for decades. The uniform was due for a redesign by fashion brand Farah Khan as announced by the airlines in 2016.
