All of last week saw members of the Game of Thrones cast confirm that they have wrapped up filming on the eighth and last season of the show.
In other words, Game of Thrones has finished filming. Forever!
The post that had the most people talking was by Maisie Williams, who plays fan favorite character, Arya Stark on the show.
Fans around the world were tantalized by two hashtags she included in her post. Namely, #lastwomanstanding and #barely.
Was this a hint at Arya’s fate in the coming season? Or was it simply Maisie saying that she was the last female to finish filming?
On the other end of things, Sophie Turner who plays the character Sansa Stark has also spoken up about the last season, stating that ‘THAT tattoo’ was probably not a great idea.
The tattoo she was referring to was that of a Dire Wolf with the words, ‘the pack survives’, possibly alluding to her desire to see the members of the Stark family survive the events of GOT.
Or maybe she was referring to Ned Stark’s famous quote from the books and the show:
“Let me tell you something about wolves, child. When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.”
Regardless, her comment about the tattoo also got the fans worked up into a theorizing frenzy, wondering if all of the Starks don’t make until the end. (Oh please no!)
In the meantime, Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere in 2019, which honestly can’t come around soon enough!
