Just about a month ago, the trees made way for the red lanterns. That’s when we knew that Chinese New Year is close!
Fast forward to today, Chinese New Year is just around the corner and before we do our usual house visits, let’s take some time to appreciate the amazing shopping mall decorations that made our Chinese New Year shopping a little more enjoyable and festive.
Here’s our rundown of the 7 best Chinese New Year mall decorations in Klang Valley:
1. One Utama
We’ve never seen red and pink looks this good together!
Malaysia may not have a distinctive spring season but One Utama made us feel like we did. The vibrant colours made our shopping experience a whole lot enjoyable!
If you missed it don’t worry! He’re a snippet of what happened in One Utama during Chinese New Year!
2. Mid Valley Megamall
If you caught the lion dance, you know you caught something special!
Mid Valley’s lion dance never seems to fail us every year, but this year it isn’t just the lions we’re talking about.
Looks like some lego figurine made a special appearance at Mid Valley Megamall this year!
3. Pavilion Kl
Pavilion is never new to the “best decoration” lists because they never fail to blow us away!

This year, Pavilion probably felt like normal coloured trees was boring, so they decided to take trees to a whole new level and decorated the mall with gold trees instead!
4. Sunway Pyramid
Sunway Pyramid did the Hakka heritage and culture proud!
We’re in awe with the decorations Sunway Pyramid decided to do this year, so we’re not going to say much but instead let the pictures do all the talking.
5. Queensbay Mall
Queensbay Mall showed other malls who’s the Queen!
Shoppers who visited the mall witnessed spring like never before. With giant butterflies and pink lanterns, we just have to say that Queensbay mall really knocked it out of the park this year!
6. The Starling Mall
The Starling Mall made shoppers feel like they were in a dream this year with their pink blooms! I mean, look at this!
7. Atria Shopping Mall
Chinese New Year is all about family reunion, and Atria Shopping Mall reminded us all about it with their reunion style set up this year!
