Johnny English Strikes Again is the third installment of the movie series, Johnny English. The first two movies of this series, which are Johnny English and Johnny English Reborn racked in more than $320 million at the global box office. The new movie is expected to lure existing fans into cinemas, again.
As many would have agree, Rowan Atkinson is everyone favourite British comedian since forever. After years of hiatus, Johnny English is back on screen to tickle our funny bones. In the movie, 63 year-old Atkinson plays a secret agent whose slapstick jokes and iconic facial expressions like no other as he goes on a mission to save the world (or not).

Spoiler Alert: The movie starts with a cyber-attack which exposes the identities of MI6’s active agents. The Prime Minister was left with no other option but to call upon retired agent (English) to investigate the enemy’s identity. English then departs on a mission along with his trusted sidekick Bough (Ben Miller).
English is equally clueless with both modern and medieval props. He prefers the old-fashioned way and analogue methods when he carries out his mission. In our humble opinion, screenwriter, William Davies did a remarkable job when it comes to the comedy scenes. The way English prefers to use old gadgets and a classic Aston Martin V8 instead of high-tech devices will surely remind us about how our parents handle technologies these days.
In a nutshell, Johnny English Strikes Again is a great family movie with a touch of nostalgia. In contrast to last 2 movies, this film showcases the changes the world has undergone by bringing a nostalgic feeling to the older audience members. For us, although the plot of this movie is pretty predictable, its slapstick jokes definitely raise a few laughs among cinema-goers. All in all, this is a rather entertaining movie.

When asked about the film, Rowan Atkinson stated this brilliant sentence which goes like this: “if you think you can have another go at something, you tend to think why not have another go as long as you feel mentally and physically capable of doing the job.”
Give this movie a go. You won’t regret it.
