Great news just kept flooding us with immense joy and pride!
Malaysian footballer, Luqman Hakim was rated by one of top 60 footballers (get this) IN THE WORLD! A fellow graduate of the National Football Development Programme (NFPD), Hakim was one of the six graduates who made it to AFFC.
He began making his mark in 2018 at the Asian Under-16 Champion by being the top scorer. Because of his incredible performance, he was signed to play at the Belgian Club K.V Kortrijk in September of this year to play for 5 years.
With his outstanding performance, Hakim was ranked by the Guardian’s Next Generation 2019: 60 Of The Best Young Talents in World Football. It compiles the list of best performing, young footballers from all over the world.
The best part?
And he made it to the list at the tender age of 17!
With him making to the 60 best young footballers, many have compared him as a replacement to former top Malaysia footballer, Mokhtar Dahari. Though Hakim is contracted to play K.V Kortrijk. he is scheduled to begin next year.
In the meantime, Hakim will remain in Malaysia.
Congratulations, Luqman Hakim! We hope that you can keep up the spirit and make us proud!
