During recent years , the number of Malaysians travelling abroad have dramatically increased. Whether they are away from town for a couple of days or more, the sky high parking rates at KLIA and KLIA2 have caused many people to opt for other means to get to the airport rather than just putting their cars at the carpark until their return to the country.
There’s always cons of relying on public transportation. Convenient it may be, flight delays are pretty common, so sometimes your designated Uber driver will not be bothered to wait for you for a long period of time. So it’s always ideal that we have our own cars readily available because we simply cannot deal with the pressure knowing that people are waiting for us over reasons which we have no control over.
However, we’ve discovered a public parking space with cheap parking fare and convenient for you to travel to either one of the airports. It is called Salak Tinggi Park and Ride. This is a 24-hours parking space and their charges are pretty reasonable:
- RM3 per entry (4am-2am)
- RM5 overnight charges (2am-4am)
- RM50 lost ticket
Apart from the cheap parking rate, Salak Tinggi Park and Ride provides KLIA Transit to KLIA and KLIA2. It is just right beside of this parking area. The estimated time arrival from here to your destination is approximately 7 minutes (KLIA) and 11 minutes (KLIA2). KLIA Transit will be available every 20 minutes during peak hour and every 30 minutes during non-peak hour.
It is much more cheaper compare to the parking rate at KLIA or KLIA2, right? Try this out during your next trip! For safety purposes, do remember to lock your car (find all locking issues on this website) and don’t leave any valuable belongings in your car.
