Desperate times definitely call for desperate measures.
As WHO declares a global emergency of an outbreak of Coronavirus, the world has been surrounded by fear and uncertainty. With more than 9835 individuals that are infected by the disease, and a death toll of 213, everyone has been rushing to get surgical masks. But due to the lack of medical supplies, many began using alternatives.
Images of terrified airline passengers have been shared on social media and have gone viral, gaining the attention of many – including this mother and child wearing cut plastic bottles on their head.

Photographs of this family have also been circulating for days. They were wrapped up in plastic sheets at an airport terminal, while also wearing face masks. We all have the same question, isn’t it difficult to breathe?
One man was also spotted wearing a motorbike helmet on a flight from Shanghai to Perth.
Wang Guangfa, a respiratory specialist from Perking University said the chances of getting the coronavirus are high if you don’t protect your eyes properly, which explains people using goggles and ski goggles when exposed to the outdoors.
But water bottles, plastics, moterbike helmets and goggles aren’t the only items that are used as a shield from this deadly virus. Unless, of course, a bra…
