Puma has been upping its global ambassador game with big names such as Rihanna, and The Weeknd. So, it is no surprise to us when Puma announced that they will be dropping a brand-new collection with the popular K-pop group, BTS.
The range will include a remix of the classic Puma Turin sneakers as well as sportwear basics. It is said that another follow-up capsule collection is set to be released in the 3rd quarter of this year.
The line will launch in Korea this March and globally in July.
In addition to the new collection, BTS has been named Puma’s latest global ambassadors and will be featured in Puma’s global campaigns for the Sportstyle range that includes pieces like the Puma Suede sneaker and T-7 tracksuits.
Puma and BTS have been partnering up and working on brand campaigns as well as product collaborations together since 2015 which includes the sought-after Puma x BTS Court Star and Blaze that’s only available in Puma Korea. This time around, the new collection is a huge leap for both the brand as well as the K-pop group as the collection will be launched on a global scale.Image source: https://www.spot.ph/shopping/the-latest-shopping/73058/puma-x-bts-turin-sneaker-a00023-20180305
Just like the Court Star in the previous collaboration, the Turin will also feature the band’s insigna of a hand holding a stalk of flower. The symbol means ‘Thank You’, signifying their gratitude to ARMY – their fanbase. With the tradition of K-pop merch in mind, every purchase will also come with a BTS photocard.
The Puma x BTS Turin will feature a classic, minimalistic, monochromatic colorway with a synthetic leather upper. Brandings of Puma and BTS is stamped on the sneakers’ insoles and on the heels of the shoe. The sportwear basics sports t-shirts with the BTS logo in red, white or black as well as shorts, socks, jackets and more.
