Queen Elizabeth II, who ruled the UK for 70 years, passed away at Balmoral at the age of 96.
For the past year, the queen has struggled with her mobility and health, and on the advice of her doctor, she had to postpone numerous events. She made her last public appearance in June at the Platinum Jubilee festivities honouring the Queen’s 70 years in power.
At midnight 1.30am, Friday, 9th September, on the Royal Family’s social media pages, they made an official announcement on the queen’s passing with a photo of the late monarch.
