The series will be a non-verbal CG-animated comedy featuring the everyday life of a diverse set of (Line) friends that live in the same town.
Line is a huge messaging platform in Korea, Japan, and other parts of Asia. Having high popularity and users in major regions around the world, the tech-corporation had also expanded its line by establishing cafés, merchandise stores, and even hotels in certain areas of Seoul, Bangkok, New York, and more!

And now, the characters from Line are finally getting their own animated series in partnership with American streaming service Netflix!
According to a Netflix press release, the Netflix Original, named ‘Line Friends’, will be a non-verbal CG-animated comedy about the major group of Line characters that live in the same town.
The lead characters will be featuring Brown, Cony, Sally, and many other identities.
Aram Yacoubian, the Director of Original Animation at Netflix, said in a statement that ‘the band of adorable BROWN & FRIENDS characters has been a part of many fans’ daily lives since they created as stickers on Line mobile messengers, and now we’re excited to develop the expanded world for screens of all kinds to delight new audiences everywhere on Netflix’.
Although the show does not have a premiere date yet, the streaming service is set to make some announcements soon.
