Who doesn’t love a quick escape every now and then? If you’ve exhaust all of your annual leaves or feeling financially tight to travel abroad, rediscover your own backyard and hunt for the little treasures you’ve overlooked on an ordinary day.
We say pack your bags and let us take you on a memorable weekend around Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley!
8 AM: Start Your Day with Breakfast
Set the tone of your weekend adventure with a delicious breakfast. We prefer to go local with our food faves, so start with a traditional Kopitiam breakfast of toast and coffee, or a crispy roti canai at your neighborhood mamak.
10.30AM: Back to Nature
Soaking up the wonders of Mother Nature is a must and there’s no better place than the KL Bird Park and Bukit Cerakah Shah Alam. If you prefer your nature excursion with a touch of adventure, head over to Skytrex Adventure. There’s also Farm in the City to explore that’s perfect for family groups.
12.30PM: Lunch Munch
Remember to fuel up with yummy lunches to keep your energy up! Drive-thru and fast food may be convenient, but we recommend going hefty with a delicious serving of nasi kandar, some spicy Nyonya food, or carb-friendly nasi biryani.
2 PM: Play Tourist
When was the last time you spend hours immersing in historical artifacts at Muzium Negara, or contemporary paintings at the National Visuals Art Gallery? Take on a touristy path and rediscover your city’s very own artsy treasures.
5 PM: Indoor Fun
If you need to shelter yourself from the sweltering heat, plenty of fun awaits indoors! You can jump on massive trampolines at Jumpstreet, go for the adrenaline-fuelled indoor rock climbing at Camp 5 Climbing Gym, or test your wits at Breakout or Escape Room.
8 PM – What’s For Dinner?
If you’re looking for a place to eat, hit the local night markets for a dose of street food ranging from Taiwanese snacks to char kuay kak! Make your way to Taman Connaught Night Market or Jalan Alor for a mix of everything.
10 PM: Bottoms Up
It’s always good to celebrate a great weekend with a shot or a cocktail. The nightlife in Kuala Lumpur is pretty electrifying, so head over to myriad bars in Changkat such as The Whisky Bar and Havana Bar, or rooftop bars in the likes of View Rooftop Bar, Marini’s on 57, and Bridge Bar.
