3P has recently dropped their new song ‘Pa Sang Anthem’ as the three members – Caven, Kevin, Danny sang about their hometown, Klang. The song gained a lot of attention with its addictive melody and lyrics that many of us could relate to!
As the whole song features Klang, here are a few highlights of the place from their song:
1. The must-eat Bak Kut Teh
Bak Kut Teh must be something that comes to your mind when others talk about Klang. The place is known to have many food establishments that sell this dish in different variations. Whether you like the dry or soup bak kut teh to be strong or mild in flavour, with lean or fat meat, you can always find a place in Klang that satisfies your cravings.
2. Klang River
Did you know our capital city, Kuala Lumpur, was named after the confluence of the Klang River and Gombak river? Kuala means an estuary, which is the point where two rivers meet while Lumpur means mud. Klang River is approximately 120 km long as it flows through Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and finally into the Straits of Malacca.
3. The highly accessible KESAS Highway
Like what 3P sang in the song, KESAS is a straight highway that links many places in Klang Valley! It starts at Pandamaran in Klang and ends at Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. It is also connected to a few other highways such as Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) and New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE).
4. Pa Sang Lang’s Hokkien
Have you listened to Caven’s Hokkien rap in the song? As you step into the Pa Sang Lang’s (Klang people in Hokkien) territory, you will realise many of them can converse well in Hokkien!
5. Port Klang
Port Klang is a town and the principal port for Klang Valley. It consists of three distinct ports: North, South and West ports where the North port is the biggest. As a tourist, you can visit Tanjung Harapan near the North port for a great view of the sea and sunset!
