It has only been a less than a month since the new government was formed but it seems like the country has gone though a whole lot of changes. Let’s have a quick look, shall we?
1. GST was abolished

The discontinuation of GST is one of the top promise that was made in GE14. Now that it’s gone, SST(Sales and Services tax) will be introduced this September.
2. No more inconstancy in fuel prices
No more rushing to the petrol station on a weekly basis because fuel prices is being fixed at a same price.
3. 1MDB audit report publicized

4. Formation of the Council of Elders

The Council of Elders are responsible of advising the newly formed Government during its first 100 days. On top of that, Institutional Reforms Committee(IRC) was formed by the Council of Elders. Their task is to examine the present form of key institutions and laws.
5. Anwar Ibrahim is now a free man

Malaysia’s former deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim, has walked free from prison after receiving a royal pardon.
