Here’s to stepping into the weekend looking and feeling bright as ever! ? #Barbie
Barbie has intentions on debuting a more inclusive doll so kids can relate to which is 2 differently-abled Barbie dolls.
The brand is debuting a prosthetic leg doll, along with a Barbie in a wheelchair all in June!
The new designed doll is part of the new collection, to represent a more diverse message in beauty .
Mattel said in a statement, “As a brand, we can elevate the conversation around physical disability by including them into our fashion doll line to further showcase a multi-dimensional view of beauty and fashion.”
To solidify this new venture of change, the toy-makers have already started working with UCLA Children’s Hospital. Making, even the wheelchair, an experience as they worked with a wheelchair expert, which is said to be the most requested accessory from fans of Barbie!
We believe that this will also be educational for children and people all over the world, that people with disabilities are as normal and as beautiful as any able person.
It’s great to see that Barbie is being diverse and inclusive, what do you think of the new barbie collection?
