Malaysian Nicole Ng, who major in Aviation Management at Swinburne University, Melbourne was awarded with International Aviation Women’s Association Scholarship!
Now if you think that’s not a big deal, think again! The aviation industry is traditionally perceived as a a male dominant field and it is intriguing to find a different gender pursuing the same course and better, awarded with a scholarship that is hard to come by for many!
Nonetheless, this 21-year-old lass has become one of the many to change the public’s perception and we are absolutely pleased about it!
Nicole claims that she is well aware of the challenges that a woman may face when entering a male-dominated industry but she is certain that eventually the society will be more open minded and accepting. She too, encourage young girls who wants the same path as her to be bold and JUST DO IT!
“I don’t think gender determines what you can, should or should not do when it comes to your career and to your passions.”
We have been seeing positive changes in the so called “male-dominated industries” throughout the years in Malaysia where the diversity of genders are on the rise within these industries.
Women are stepping up, breaking the taboos of their capabilities and proved that they can do any job!
It is truly inspiring!
Nicole Ng has definitely made Malaysia proud! You go girl!
Sevenpie would also like to congratulate Nicole for her accomplishment and wish her the very best in all that she do!
