The story of brands partnering up with unexpected people, organizations, or even characters is nothing new.
Just recently, we at Sevenpie covered a story of how the makeup brand Spectrum partnered up with Disney’s top queen and style icon Minnie Mouse, along with a story about how the apparel brand Vans partnered up with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam for a beautiful apparel line.
Today is the day to add yet another unlikely partnership to the list.
Famous shoe brand, Converse is pairing up (no pun intended) the Japanese company Sanrio’s number one best girl, Hello Kitty!
The line is called the Hello Kitty x Converse collection, of course. And as expected, it has a few variations of shoe designs; a total of six across three models! They include Chuck Taylor All Star, Chuck 70, and One Star.

But that’s not all!
The collection will also give us a few Hello Kitty themed apparel and accessories. These range from hoodies to t-shirts, and even duffel bags.
We at Sevenpie are pretty excited to see this new collaboration. The items up for grabs look gorgeous and is sure to appeal to both Hello Kitty fans and Converse fans, along with fans of everything cute in general. (We are low key in love with the pink high cuts)
In any case, this partnership continues Sanrio’s mission to put Hello Kitty’s face on every single item imaginable. From rings to make up sets to clothes to pencils to toilet paper to actual cars, the cute cartoon has become one of the most recognizable faces on the face of planet Earth. Here’s a short video with a ton of random stuff with a Hello Kitty theme, proving the point.
So what do you think, dear reader? Are you interested in these new shoes? Or are you holding out for the day Sanrio decides to release an Aggretsuko-themed shoe line? We would genuinely LOVE to see that as Aggrestuko is one of our favourite Netflix shows (link to 5 reasons you should watch Aggrestuko).
