We might not be the privilege firstborn, or the cute baby of the family, but we Middleborns are pretty awesome!
Happy Middle Child Day!

After getting overshadowed throughout our entire childhoods, and being stereotyped as neglected, resentful, bitter wallflowers, or having a negative outlook at life, just imagine a whole day dedicated to celebrating us! We must be a pretty awesome breed! Here are 6 facts why:
1. We are endangered

What? You mean this most awesome breed is going to be extinct?
Well, there has been a shift in social norms when it comes to family size. The days of having big families of more than four children have gone with time. Today, most families have only one or two children, so middle children are growing increasingly rare. If you are a parent who has a middle child, you can learn how to handle them properly thanks to resources like a parenting guide book.
2. We have a “syndrome”

Our remarkable “middle child behaviour” has won ourselves a syndrome coined especially for us!
While we do not get the same perks of the oldest child or the outpouring love towards the youngest growing up, our “Middle Child Syndrome” is our self-made glory. We are generally independent, resourceful, popular, and mature! We find our ways to thrive, become social butterflies, and have maturity the others don’t.
3. We are social butterflies

Being the loner in the family, middleborns usually take it outside to flourish!
Their position in their family has groomed their own charm – open-minded, peacemakers, extremely accommodating, mature! Not forgetting our unique sense of humour which makes us incredibly likeable! Their strong social skills make them the life of all the parties they go to and they are popular among their friends.
4. We are drilled for success!

Having to fend for ourselves at home has drilled us to be independent, confident, resilient, good team players, natural negotiators and mediators. All that paired with our strong social skills are quite the setup for a successful leader!
History has proven it, some of the most iconic successful key opinion leaders such as Bill Gates, Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, Princess Diana and Kim Kardashian are middleborns.
5. We are happiest in marriages

Because we are usually people-persons, we are typically loyal. 80% of middleborns claimed to have never been unfaithful to their spouses. Apart from that, our capacity to compromise, reason and to be easily satisfied make us happiest in our marriages as compared to other birth orders.
6. Middle children tend to be more creative!

The creative spotlight shines the most on middle children – probably due to the lack of attention garnered, when it comes to creativity, everyone is sure to notice their special talents!
