Falling in love is the sweetest and most magical moment of your life. At some point, you will think that this person is destined to be with you forever.
But when the love ends, your world came crashing down. The feeling of sorrow, despair or misery hits you in one blow. Friends or lovers, most (if not all) of you have gone through these bitterness least once in your lifetime. The hardest part is to put ourselves together again, and each of us grieves differently. We would go through several stages such as denial, anger bargaining, depression or acceptance before we can finally talk about it without shedding a tear. At Sevenpie, we have gathered a few important things to cope better with loss in your journey of recovery.
1. Make Time for Yourself
The drowning feeling of heartbroken and sorrow after the end of a relationship will be your companion for some time. Learn to accept them and spend more time for yourself to enjoy the freedom. It’s normal to think of them from time to time. Give yourself some time to release your heart and soul from despair.
2. 바쁘다 – Keep Yourself Busy
Make yourself busy everyday so that you wouldn’t have the time to think about ‘him/her’. Unite with friends and let them know what do you need from them and expose yourself to know more people and make new friends. Spend some time shopping and pamper yourself with luxuries and do things you weren’t able to do when you were with him. No one is going to control you for what you want to do.
3. Learn To Love Yourself
After crying for several nights (or weeks), it’s time to accept the fact and look back at what went wrong. Sure, it’s easy to throw the blame at that person but sometime self-reflection is the closure that you need to move on. It is important to let out the grief and let in the good self-care.
