Remember the good old days of slow internet? Remember the dial up sounds as you were growing up?
“EEEEEEEEEEEEE BLEEEP BLEEEP BLOOOOOOP”
Remember having to make sure that nobody else would use the phone while you were on the internet browsing Friendster or even playing runescape as you read blogs during your free time home from school. As the years passed, our internet service has gotten significantly better, although its still lacking as compared to our neighbour across the waters.

Fret not! Because TM has finally stepped up its game and has plans for upgrades to their service! In fact, I’ve already switched to a cheaper, faster plan for RM 129 per month. While their full plan is to essentially x10 everyone’s speed according to their plans while remaining the same price. I.e 30 mbps x10 = 300 Mbps or 50 Mbps x 10 = 500 Mbps.
All for the same price too!
Have a look at the plans down below, it’s about high time our country has gotten an upgrade! In fact, Unify was supposed to be that upgrade but as the years went on, Malaysia always seemed to be behind other more well-developed countries. And part of that issue was because TM had a majority of the market share on Internet services offered and also because fibre optic was really expensive. Which brings me to TIME. This company that came into Malaysia and challenged the all mighty Internet god, TM (we have them to thank for breaking the monopoly game of Internet).

Well after a bout of sportsman-like conduct, with TIME congratulating TM on bringing our country up to speed (hehe),it looks like TIME has finally responded with Internet upgrades of their own! Offering upgraded speeds up to 1 GBPS! That’s right, you didn’t read it wrongly,
ONE GIGABYTE PER SECOND.
While that is insane to imagine, it’s true!
In the same fashion of TM, TIME has also promised to upgrade their services for FREE with no extra charges to existing contracts. The 100mbps plan gets 500 mbps while both the 300 mbps and 500 mbps customers will be upgraded to a WHOPPING 1Gbps.
And who said competition wasn’t good for the country? With all these upgrades rolling out, Malaysians can finally enjoy better speeds at better rates. Let’s hope it stays that way for a long long time!
