The wait is almost over!
Ever since the park closed in 2014, Malaysian have been anticipating the opening of Genting Highlands’ new park. After a lot of trials and tribulation, we finally have a confirmation on when the park will finally be reopening!

Previously, Genting Group has been battling several lawsuits with 20 Century Fox and Disney on using their intellectual properties. While the lawsuits have been settled, another roadblock appeared in the form of the global pandemic which set back that was previously scheduled to open later this year.

As a result, Malaysians will have to wait another year before they can enjoy the new outdoor theme park.

“As development works on the outdoor theme park were affected by the MCO, the group is working on a revised timeline for the completion and opening of the outdoor theme park, ” said the company.

The theme park was supposed to have an initial 20 rides, including four roller coasters.
Regardless of all the snags they have hit, we can’t wait to see the opening next year!
