We’ve written a handful of Clubhouse articles, and today’s we’re jumping back at it again with another Clubhouse article!
If you’ve been on social media for sometime, you’d know what to do before and after uploading your content online. For example, if you were to post an Instagram picture, you’d know that taking an engaging picture with a quality camera is best, or when you’re on Twitter, you’d know that coming up with a viral tweet could get you on the map, and even when it comes to Snapchat, taking an engaging Snapchat story is pretty much a given.
Now, that Clubhouse is making it big online, you should know that there are a few steps or things that you should prepare before going onto the audio-only application, and in this article we’re going to tell you the top 5 things to prepare before clicking onto the application!
1. A drink
As you may already know by now that Clubhouse is an audio-only application so speaking through your mobile microphone is a given. Speaking for a long period of time could be draining, having a drink or two just an arms reach away could be vital to your performance on the application. Prepare a glass of water if you’re dehydrated, a cup of coffee to keep you up, or even a glass of wine to bring out the quirky side of yourself.
2. A Charger
Having your mobile battery juiced up is important as you wouldn’t want to be rudely cut off by your cellphone when there aren’t any juice left in your phone. So, prepare a charger or even a portable power bank to ensure that you don’t miss a single moment of being on the application
3. A Quiet Location
You’re probably tired of hearing us say this, but Clubhouse is an audio-only application, and with that being said, clarity in the environment you’re in is crucial. You wouldn’t want your audience to hear a party in the background while you’re speaking (unless that’s the vibe you’re going for). Find a decently quiet location to allow your audiences to hear and listen to what you’re actually trying to relay.
4. A List Of Topics
Clubhouse is a social application, and socialising may not come easy to many of us. Prepare a list of topics, and questions to break any awkward silences along the way. Allow your mind to roam free on that piece of paper, write down whatever you think could be a conversational starter.
5. A Strong Internet Connection
Being an online social media application, having an internet connection is a given, but having a strong internet connection is important. You wouldn’t want to be cut short while you’re speaking because of your internet connection. Ensure that you test your internet connection as well before starting your own Clubhouse room to be sure that you’re on the right track.
