Netflix and chill. Everybody loves that.
It’s Covid-19 season and everybody is watching Netflix due to the movement restriction, because what else can we do aside from binge watching our favourite series?!
There are some tips and tricks that we want to share with you especially if you are subscribed to Netflix. This is how you can get the most out of your subscription.
Here are some tips and tricks that you can use on Netflix.
1.Unlock hidden genre categories
Netflix has a handful of different genres – from comedies and dramas to horror. But there are hundreds more hiding that you don’t know about. You can search for them manually by looking up the code for each sub-genre or use a Chrome extension to access them.
2.Keyboard shortcuts when using laptop for Netflix
If you’re not a mobile viewer, here are some useful keyboard shortcuts you need to know on your laptop.
- Space bar/Enter: toggle pause/play
- Hold down Right arrow/Left arrow key: fast forward/rewind
- Tap Right/Left arrow key: skip ahead/back 10 seconds
- Up/down arrow key: raise/lower volume
- M key: mute/unmute
- F key: toggle full screen
3.Delete your embarrassing binges
Your embarrassing binges can be gone if you want. Delete your embarrassing binges from your history to remove any chance of future shame. If you do so, you’ll improve recommendations from Netflix.
4.Stop the next episode from auto-playing
If you want to stop your bad binging habits you can prevent that by going to your Account page, clicking Playback settings in the My Profile section and switch the toggle off the Play next episode automatically. You’re welcome.
5.Opt out of ads
If you don’t like the trailers for other Netflix shows in between episodes, you can disable these in-house ads and get right to the next episode. To opt out, you need to access Netflix in a browser on a laptop or a phone. You can’t opt out of the ads with the Netflix app.
Tap the hamburger button on the top left (on mobile) or click your profile picture and then choose Account. On the Account page, scroll down to the Settings section and select Test Participation, toggle it off and click done.
We hope that we made Netflix more enjoyable for you guys. Let us know in the comments below if you have more tips and tricks that we don’t know about!
