The goal will be achieved after reaching 3 million signees.
As citizens worldwide continue reeling from the shocking loss of the American shooting guard Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, as well as the 7 other passengers involved in a fatal helicopter crash last Sunday in Los Angeles, widespread movements have already begun in ensuring the NBA legend will be immortalized forever.
It was confirmed that the basketball veteran would be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, and now, a growing Change.org petition has garnered millions of signatures worldwide in requesting the switch of the current NBA logo with Bryant’s image.

The league’s current logo features a silhouette image of the former Los Angeles Lakers player Jerry West. It was originally designed by Alan Siegel in 1971 and has only received one minor update over the years whereby the font was upgraded in 2017.
I always liked the Jerry West Logo for The NBA, but if they changed The NBA Logo to Kobe Bryant that would be a great way to honor Kobe. pic.twitter.com/YVviFlPzWG

This man is the logo for a reason. One of the best players and kindest souls to ever grace the court. I think making Kobe the new logo would be a beautiful gesture, but I hope hearing this gives you all a small look into why he was chosen to represent the NBA. https://t.co/6QBLsk0out
