1. Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam
A Kopitiam is usually a place that is filled with nostalgia, they might be losing out to fancy and classy décor in modern cafes, but they never fail to win our hearts in comfort and the amazing food they have to offer. Ho Kow’s is known for their rich Peanut Butter and Kaya Butter toast, a true Kopitiam classic. They also serve a variety of Malaysian cuisine staples like Nasi Lemak served with fried chicken, Curry Chee Cheong Fun and Curry Noodles and so much more

2. Thong Kee Kopitiam
Who says you would need to travel a great distance of unexpected jams for a great Hainanese breakfast? You can have it in PJ area as well. Thong Kee is located at Seapark, it is super crowded during breakfast and lunch hours so be sure to beat the crowd and go early in advance. Unlike most Hainan Kopitiams, Thong Kee is famous for their homemade croissants with Kopitiam classic accompaniments such as Kaya and Butter or Cheese and Ham. For more filling meals, you can go with Pan Mee, Wantan Mee or Chicken Rice to satisfy those savoury-buds. Their aromatic Hainan coffee is a must-try, should you ever find yourself there.

3. Ah Weng Koh Hainan Tea & Coffee
Ah Weng Koh Hainan Tea and Coffee has been established for over 50 years! They are well-known for their Signature Hainan Tea, Signature Kaya Butter Toast(or Bun) and ASTRO Hainan Toast (Toast with margarine spread and sugar). People usually order the Kaya Butter Toast accompanied with half-boiled eggs. For those who can’t get enough of their Hainan tea or coffee, you can also purchase their retail packaging at their outlet to take home with you!
