International Coffee Day happens every 1st October and you know what that means, it’s coffee time!
Coffee culture is a real thing in today’s modern society and to many, it has became the part and parcel of starting their day in a high note. Some people couldn’t even get going without a glass of coffee! In conjunction with International Coffee Day, let’s see which are the best places to have coffee in K.L! P/S: This list comes in as bonus points for those who love all place Instagrammable. And no, Starbucks is NOT included.
1. Craft Origin
For customers to get the best coffee experience as possible, coffee roasters are placed in clear for customers to see. Living up to its name, it strives to continue to champion the specialty of coffee by preserving its heritage and traditions.
There are only 2 types of coffee served: Pour-over and espresso-based. The twist is the blend for the pour-over changes every week and for the espresso-based every month. Priced reasonably, and you could also order food along with coffee!
2. Acme Bar and Coffee
Located strategically in The Troika, with a lit and awesome ambiance the coffee provided is as good as the setting. It has everything that a coffee lover wants: A comfortable seating, large window, and jazz music gets you in the mood.
With a great environment, large window panels, the place will surely get you in the mood for coffee.
3. Three Little Birds
An artisanal roast with a breezy setting, make sure you lock your spot before anyone else. The atmosphere and setting will take you away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A quiet, peaceful place for those who find the crowds a turn-off.
Made with passion by veteran coffee Joey Mah, this café serves all needs. For coffee geeks, there will be a breakdown of the technical aspects of the coffee crafts. And to satisfy the hunger pangs, there are eggs in all forms – omelet, onsen, scrambled and many more. There is also a fine selection of cakes, pastries, and sandwiches – if you think coffee isn’t enough.

4. Old Town White Coffee, Brickfields
With many chains throughout the country (and very recognizable), it’s easy to walk into any chain and enjoy the coffee and food they serve. However, their Brickfields branch is the flagship store of all chains for they are open 24 hours, which means to say that you can get your coffee fix anytime you wish! In the morning, or even late at night to those who want to burn the midnight oil.
As with other OTWC branches, it serves Malaysian food, paired with their signature White Coffee. Get your coffee fix anytime at this flagship store. And enjoy it with a bite of Malaysian food.

5. Eight Ounce Coffee
If you’re willing to splurge, then Eight Ounce deserves your spending. And you won’t regret it.
Located in the prestigious The Gardens mall, Eight Ounce stands out for its coffee by its high-quality beans, making their coffee high-quality as well. Carefully crafted Arabian means are brewed to serve up their coffee. Added with a great ambiance, a great view and well lit (from natural lighting), great finger food and desserts, it’s the best thing that a coffee place can offer.
