Smashing down all cultural stereotypes, Nor Diana brings in #girlpower to the wrestling ring. Since her remarkable achievement, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Syed Saddiq, had even visited Nor Diana to discuss the future of Pro-Wrestling in Malaysia.

1. Her passion sparked through a video game
Nor Diana found her love for wrestling at a young age of 14. Together with her brother, they used to play wrestling games in the PlayStation Portable. Since then, Nor Diana has been exposed to the culture of the wrestling sport through International stars, such as Dwayne “‘The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, and Triple H.
2. She won her first match just within three months of training
Nor Diana began training at the Malaysia Pro Wrestling (MYPW) school, who have trained up to 30 wrestlers so far, when she was as young as 15 years old. Just within three months of training, Nor Diana went to the ring and won her first match.
That win was also Nor Diana’s first debut as “Phoenix”.
3. She may be small-built, but she definitely is power-packed!

Measuring at 155cm and 43kg, one should not judge Nor Diana’s strength by her small-built! Seeing how she had single-handedly brought down 4 men at the Malaysia Pro Wrestling (MyPW) Wrestlecon Championship is enough proof for the talent in Nor Diana.
4. Nor ‘Phoenix’ Diana only revealed her identity in 2018
The face behind the mask reveals the World’s First Hijab-wearing Female Pro-Wrestler. Fearing what the crowd may react her culture of wearing the hijab on the ring, Nor Diana had been wrestling with the ‘luchador’ mask, and had only revealed her identity in the 2018 MYPW Wrestlenation.
Showing that no religion or gender are barriers for one to pursue their passion, Nor Diana sure is an inspiration to many individuals out there.

Did you know? Out of 30 fighters that participate in matches happening every two to three months, only 2 are women? With Nor Diana on the ring, it surely opens many doors for more women to enter the male-dominated sport.

Holding a day job at the hospital, Nor Diana aspires to pursue her studies in media or graphic designing while training as a pro-wrestler. For Nor Diana, there are no limits when it comes to one’s passion.
