Do you have anything better to do with your time?
If the quarantine period has finally pushed you into downloading TikTok, congratulations! Welcome to the new age. It’s time for you to learn some TikTok dances.
If you have scrolled through the “For You” page, you’d know that dances were inescapable on any feed. Dances to TikTok is what selfies is to early-era Instagram, the current thing. But if you’re willing to give it a go, then get into something comfy, and check out the ten dances below, ranked from easiest to borderline impossible.
1. Hit Every Beat challenge, with “U Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer
@thehypehouse@addisonre @larrayeeee @ondreazlopez_♬ #hiteverybeat – lulbabyynelii
While this may seem like a fast one, don’t fret. Many people have noted that this dance is a lot like the macarena on high speed, which (when you put it that way) is a lot easier than it looks. Definitely give this one a go!

2.“Say So” by Doja Cat
@haleyphamcute dance by @yodelinghaley 😆 ##foryouppage ##fyp♬ Say So – Doja Cat
To date, this is one of the most popular dances on TikTok. Lucky for us, this one is short, sweet, and requires a lot of attitude. It takes about 5 minutes to learn and it’s definitely one that’s going to get stuck in your head.

3.“Cannibal” by Kesha
@addisonre@sherinicolee♬ Cannibal – Ke$ha
This dance has two extremely fun moves — the heart shape pulsing in the middle and the opening “I’ll eat you up” hand gesture. Everything else is just filler. So all you have to do is master the 2 hard steps, and you’re golden!

4.The Renegade, to “Lottery” by K-Camp
@charlidamelio@danijones @gemmah_♬ Lottery – K Camp
Okay, the Renegade is undoubtedly the most popular dance on TikTok, maybe in the world right now. But despite its popularity, it’s kind of a hard dance. But once you have it down, it’s satisfying and you’ll find yourself doing it at any given opportunity, just to brag.

5.“Candy” by Doja Cat
@sarahmagusaraHeyyy ya’ll, who missed me 👀♬ Candy – Doja Cat
If you have noticed, this is the second Doja Cat song on the list. Don’t be alarmed, she just comes up on TikTok a lot. This is another of the dances where the lyrics and the moves pretty much correlate. Although this might be a little tricky to execute, it’s definitely a fun one to try out!

6.Supalonely by Benne
@cameronfielddi love this dance♬ Supalonely (feat. Gus Dapperton) – BENEE
This dance requires a lot of coordination. And I mean a lot. Many try this dance at half speed, so don’t beat yourself up if you can’t nail the full speed well. A big part of TikTok dancing is being able to keep a beat and sway through whatever your arms are doing. The dance moves are mostly your arms, but there are also a lot of body rolls and hair flips in this one. Which, for the uncoordinated, is daunting.
