At just the tender age of six, Olivia Lim Ling from Petaling Jaya defeated her competitors at the Vienna Grand Prize Virtuoso. Performing a rendition of Fredric Chopin’s Waltz in E Flat impressed the judges by her playing ability.
Wow, Malaysia Boleh!
Competing against a number of young fellow prodigies from around the world, she successfully defeated them and the organizers invited Lim to perform for the Grand Prize Virtuoso Ceremony at the Wiener Musikverein, considered to be the finest music hall in the world.
Her grandparents are particularly proud of her achievements, saying that she has honored Malaysia by taking first place in the competition. You’ve made Malaysia proud, Olivia!
