Christmas is the season for gifts of every kind. Anything and everything that can be bought or sold is given to place beneath the tree. But there’s one rare and precious gift that the poor or rich can give, for it’s the thought that counts.
Though gifting may feel better than to receive, let’s just say it can be quite risky. Especially not when your gift doesn’t meet their expectations. It doesn’t mean you can go overboard with the gifts by giving anything away as a present just because now is the time for giving. You also don’t have to break your bank to find the perfect gift.
To save yourself from embarrassment, here are some (not-so-good) gift to give anyone for Christmas.
1. Perfume
What if the person who receives it tries it on and it’s a smell that they don’t fancy? It also gives the impression that you think they smell bad and is about damn time they get one.
2. Anything re-gifted
That’s not very nice. I know some of you may be broke and it saves cost but don’t do it. Even if you insist on doing so, do it smartly at least.
3. Workout gear
Ya don’t wanna risk of unintentionally insinuating that he or she needs to lose some weight. Unless they personally requested for one or if the recipient is a gym enthusiast.
4. The ugly sweater
Ahh, the classic ol’ ugly Christmas sweater. You can wear them to an ugly sweater party (if there is even one) and compete with one another to see who wore it better and that’s pretty much it.
5. Souvenirs
They don’t need a souvenir from a country they probably have or haven’t visited especially the fridge magnet or key chains to relive your experience.
6. Scale
Honestly, if anyone gives you this, you have every right to shove it back to them. I mean really? What is the meaning of this?!
7. Sock
What could be more boring than a pair of socks? Try again, you can do better than that.
