With Disney’s release of movies and Marvel’s upcoming spin-offs, there’s been so many movies to expect.

With that being said, we cannot possibly leave the ‘Horror’ genre out. There are many horror movies that are coming out this year, so save these dates and get ready to be kept on the edge of your seat.
1. IT: Chapter Two
Stephen King’s most notable works is back! Chapter 2 will take The Losers Club into the future of 27 years later, where they reunite to the town of Derry to take down Pennywise the clown. The grown up “The Losers Club” will consist of new cast-members Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, and so many more.

2. Annabelle Comes Home
Another film that thickens the plot of The Conjuring origins. Annabelle Comes Home will take place in the past events to when Annabelle resides in the house of demonic consultants, Ed and Lorraine Warren.

3. Midsommar

4. Are You Afraid Of The Dark
Are You Afraid Of The Dark revolves around a time in the 90’s where a group of kids gather in the dark and share spooky stories. The movie will play out with the stories being told. The writer, Gary Dauberman (a.k.a writer of IT), said “I think it is scary and I think kids will be scared watching it at times, and also they’ll laugh at times.”

5. Zombieland 2: Double Tap
Twinkie-hunts and carnival rides; they’ve returned after a decade! The horror-comedic movie will be revolving around new evolved zombies since its initial movie and NEW SURVIVORS!
Release Date: 11th of October, 2019.
6. Ma
Octavia Spencer reunites with ‘The Help’ director, Tate Taylor, to create the horror that is ‘Ma’. A film that shows what happens to a bunch of teens when they get too comfortable with an adult.
Release Date: 31st of May, 2019

Child’s Play features Aubrey Plaza, as a reprise of the classic horror-doll that continues to cause nightmares, Chucky! Child’s Play returns as a remake, rather than a sequel to the episodes of films that were made in the 90s.

The small town of Mill Valley gets transported to time by a girl named Sarah Bellows, with secrets so dark and terrifying, she penned it down to a book which was unfortunately stumbled upon, by a group of teens.
