Selena Gomez is at it again!
Gone were the days when her relationship with Justin Bieber enraged Justin’s fandom, with many of his fans bullying Selena and photoshopping their faces into Selena’s. They have since gone their own separate ways and have been successful, with Justin recently tying the knot with Hailey Baldwin. But that doesn’t mean that their history are behind them for good!
Last weekend, Selena Gomez dropped two new songs: Lose You To Love Me and Look At Her Now.
Many have noticed that her new songs, particularly “Look at Her Now” which contains the following words:
“It was her first real lover / His too ’til he had another / Oh God when she found out / Trust levels went way down,”
Many interpret this song as her moving on from her relationship with Justin Bieber. Their relationship was a big hit in the early 2010s.
Her 1st song, on the other hand, Lose You To Love Me seems to be an open and brutally honest version about how she really felt when her relationship with Justin Bieber went sour, and boy, she did not hold back at all.
The lyrics to her first song really did strike us hard with the following words:
“You promised the world and I fell for it / I put you first and you adored it / Set fires to my forest / And you let it burn / Sang off-key in my chorus / ‘Cause it wasn’t yours…
“I saw the signs and I ignored it / Rose-colored glasses all distorted / Set fire to my purpose / And I let it burn / You got off on the hurtin’ / When it wasn’t yours, yeah,
Ouch! She clearly made it known that her time with Justin was not a bed of roses…
As expected, her songs did not make everyone happy. Hailey Baldwin, now wife to Justin Bieber, posted an Insta story with the song by Summer Walker with the song name “I’ll Kill You”.
Selenators were enraged over her actions and stormed Hailey’s Instagram with comments, with some seeing this as a threat to Selena. She later releases a statement denying that she intends to kill Selena.
