Now Potterheads can enjoy their time at this café without having the fuss to travel to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
Although the final saga of the Harry Potter series was released 8 years ago, yet, it is still insanely popular with its merchandise and guest houses in Universal Orlando. Of course, there are some Harry Potter-inspired cafés in Seoul and Singapore, but there is another one that is close to home, which is in the touristy gem of Ipoh, Malaysia!
Inspired by the Harry Potter film, Platform 9 & ½ Cafe is Malaysia’s first Potter-themed café and it is located at the crowded Concubine Lane in Ipoh. The café is named after the legendary Platform 9 ¾ of Kings Cross Station in the film.
Although it is located slightly far from the main road, however, the exterior can be easily noticeable with the 2 old-school London-esque windows similar to Diagon Alley.
One of the main reasons why you should visit this café is the beautiful setups and rustic interior design with exposed bricks and cement, accompanied by vintage-style leather furniture.

SourceMake sure you try their in-house signature Butterbrew, the imitation of Butterbeer, the iconic beverage in the film. Fret not, Butterbrew is not exactly alcoholic, it tastes like root beer! Yum!

Besides just chilling and enjoying your time at the café, you can even play dress-up as wizards and witches by wearing a robe and scarf from Hogwarts!
There’s even an Instagrammable trolley that you can snap photos with at the cafe and pretend you are travelling to Hogwarts at Platform 9 3/4!
