Annalakshmi Riverside is an inexpensive Indian eatery established in 1984 by Swamiji which is situated at the basement level of in the Temple of Fine Arts building in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
It is a vegan-friendly restaurant run by a non-profit organization using the help of volunteers and fixed staff in preparing the food. The food is served as a canteen style with at least 5 main dishes to choose from and the best part is they use the concept of “pay-as-you-wish”. So, you can basically take any amount of food you want and pay the price you think it is worth.
Annalakshimi is an anti-food wastage restaurant, so be mindful and only take the portion that you can finish!
Moreover, the income they earn will go to Shiva Shanta Clinic, a free-of-charge clinic owned by them as well. How inspiring!
Moreover, you can check out their other dining setup only one floor above, called Annalakshmi. In contrast to Annalakshmi Riverside, Annalakshmi is a fine-dining restaurant serving buffet with the price of RM25 per person during lunch time and a la carte in the evening.
