Is mother nature taking back the earth?
Now that the Covid-19 pandemic is in full effect, many countries have been advising citizens to self quarantine and imposing movement control protocols. This left the streets of many cities bare and empty of people for the first time in years.
However, in the absence of humans, it seems that animals are taking over and roaming around the cities.
1.Nara, Japan

In Nara, Japan, deers from the local park seem to wander the streets in search of food. Plenty of photos and videos of the deer roaming the streets of Nara surfaced on Twitter, leaving people in awe.

2.Lopburi, Thailand
Thousands of hungry monkeys storm the town center in Lopburi, Thailand because the tourists that usually fed them fled due to Covid-19.
Its just a matter of time before they realise that just about 4 of them can take down a full grown man.

These hungry monkeys were spotted in the ancient city of Lopburi, nearby the Phra Prang Sam Yot temple complex. Before the pandemic, the monkeys are used to being fed human food by the hundreds of tourists who visit the site every day. The city even hosts an annual Monkey Buffet Festival, where visitors construct elaborate towers of fruits and vegetables for the temple monkeys to feast on. However, now with the quarantine and the lack of tourists, even the monkeys are starting to feel the squeeze.
These monkeys were seen to be in a turf war, fighting over a single banana. They were caught “invading” the town in search of food, eventually brawling in the street with the town’s local monkey population.

3.Italy

Ever since the pandemic skyrocketed in Italy, the citizens are placed under strict lockdowns. As most Italian streets are empty, many citizens spotted various wild animals making the cities their playground.
Sheeps, boars and horses all dare to roam the streets in search of food, leaving many citizens amused by the sight of them.
Netizens were left in awe as even dolphins, fishes and swans returned to the canals of Venice.

Comfortingly, the most unrealistic sightings of all are actually real. Even as the pandemic progresses on, it’s as if nature itself is telling us everything will be okay soon.
