When this video of a very confident 6-year-old named Chloe graced the Internet, I was compelled to write an article on how you can feel beautiful without the normal listicle of where to get your nails done, what hairstyle should you get next, or which aisle in Sephora you need to visit for a beauty “fix”.
Because honey, there’s a lot of fixing required in this world and it’s not you.
Here’s a video of Chloe uploaded by her brother Kyle Dinsmore on Twitter:
I hope everyone can have the same confidence in themselves as my 6 year old sister 😂😭 pic.twitter.com/4khv9OoyFZ

Step 1: Smile more
Ever head outside only to feel grumpier because people are just sulking? The only appropriate response when you encounter someone in a bad mood is to smile at him or her. So smile more, and you might even caught someone off guard and make them smile back. It’s a livelier world to live in because no smile (we swear by this) is ever ugly. It’s the world’s most simplest and non-verbal expression of beauty. Achieve a brighter smile with the help of dentist Eugene OR.
Step 2: Have manners
Nobody looks at a rude person and thinks, “oh my, how attractive!” It’s as straightforward as it is, so say your ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ as much as you can. Having manners boosts your attraction level to a 100 without effort plus it’s quintessential. Nothing screams ugly like a foul-mouth, impolite, piece of sh*t, right?
Step 3: Wear whatever you like
This applies for inappropriate clothing only. We do not condone dressing as a stripper to formal events. However, if there isn’t a particular dress code for most of your daily activities then you should wear something comfortable and most importantly, something you like. Clashing prints aren’t a fashion faux pas; it’s a statement. See those girls wearing chokers? Be original and wear dog collars for all you want!
Step 4: Make sure you smell nice
I’m personally a huge advocate of deodorant. I believe that a good-smelling world contributes to a better society. I mean think of this way, how are we supposed to live with one another when we can’t even be close to each other because of body odour? I also heard that girls like guys who smell good, and obviously vice versa. So what are you waiting for? Spray that body up real good. Also, don’t forget to visit your south edmonton dentist to prevent bad breath.
Step 5: Listen to music
First of all, if you aren’t already doing this, ask yourself why. Music makes you feel things, and everyone needs a soundtrack. Anyone who knows how to lose themselves to music is automatically beautiful, which explains why musicians are so darn attractive. Besides, dancing to good music can do no wrong. When you feel good, you’ll look good.
Step 6: Compliment others
It’s better to give than to receive right? The psychology of helping others has always been a mysterious factor to happiness. We don’t know how it works, but spotting something nice about someone else and letting them know is a great way to boost their confidence and yours. It’s a win-win situation! If you feel good being complimented then others will too.
Step 7: Express yourself freely
It isn’t worth being real if it means hurting someone else with your words, so be real with caution and a warrant that it will make others feel good not bad. Genuine people are beautiful because they know how to let go and express affection, joy, and all that good stuff. It’s only through that are you able to form friendships. So don’t hold yourself back and open up, an open book is easy to read, relatable, and comforting.
Step 8: Convince yourself to try
Being confidently beautiful means having the confidence to do things you’ve always wanted to do. But before anything, you need to convince yourself to try. You can’t achieve anything great if you don’t try your luck in the first place, so push yourself everyday until you get there. Try for the sake of learning, not to make your ego bigger.
Step 9: Treat yourself to something healthy
The saying “treat yourself” is synonymous to loving yourself and while that is an accurate declaration, it’s easily misused. If you have the means to get yourself a nice hearty meal that isn’t exactly good for you, then you can certainly splurge once a week or more on healthier meals, imported fruits, or even on something more long term like a gym subscription.
Step 10: Be thankful with what you have
A beautiful person is someone who knows that he/she is luckier than most. Acknowledging your privilege is having the awareness to be grateful for whatever it is you are born with, instead of pointing out what you lack. The fact that you have people who love you, a roof above your head, and a functioning body is more than enough to be happy about.
