We all know The Greatest Showman smashed box-office records in 2017.
At the beginning of April, Hugh Jackman answered in a radio interview on BBC Radio 2, that there might be a possible reprise but was unsure due to the duration it took to write the first movie, as well as the concreteness of the discussion.
“I’m being completely honest with you, there is talk of something going around but no one is really sure,” he explained. “But I think someone is working on a treatment for something… I know they are, they’re working on a treatment for something.”
Zac Efron, who’s recently appeared on The Graham Norton Show, whilst promoting his Ted Bundy Netflix-film (Extremely Wicked, Shocking Evil & Vile), and gave his input on the possible-sequel.
“Hugh [Jackman] is working on all sorts of things including a one-man show,” he said.
“What’s next? I don’t know but I hope there’s a sequel.”
He also told The Sun: “So those discussions have started and we are working on one [a sequel] right now.”
So far, it’s still unclear. But a sequel to The Greatest Showman? We’re not complaining! Fingers crossed that it does happen.
